An organic light emitting device is provided to prevent moisture or oxygen from being infiltrated by filling a second sealant into an inner surface of a fixation mechanism with a stopper. An organic light emitting device includes a lower substrate(52), an upper substrate(51), a first sealant(53), and a fixation mechanism(54). An organic material layer with a light emitting layer is formed on the lower substrate. The upper substrate is bonded to the lower substrate by a predetermined interval. The first sealant is formed on edges of the upper and lower substrates. The fixation mechanism covers the bonded upper and lower substrates. The fixation mechanism has a stopper on an inner surface thereof to shield an end area between the upper and lower substrates. |
