PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a square nonaqueous electrolyte battery of which electrode structure of a laminating type is superior in a load characteristic as its electrode area is large, capable of reducing production cost by eliminating the labor required in the production. SOLUTION: Not less than two pieces of battery elements 1, a battery can 2, and a battery cap 3 are provided. The battery elements 1 are formed into a unit of laminated structure composed of a sheet-formed positive electrode body 7 including a current collector 6, a separator 9 which covers the outer face of the U-shaped positive electrode body 7, and a sheet-formed negative electrode body 10 which covers the outer face of the U-shaped separator 9.
