Interface devices (100) for use in a computer system (10) are provided. A representative interface device includes an interface connector (204) and an interface adapter (202). The interface connector (204) is configured to mate with the connector (206) of a computing device (104). The interface adapter (202) engages the interface connector (204) and defines a first alignment surface (214). The first alignment surface (214) is configured to engage a first protrusion (210) of the computing device (104) as the interface connector (204) is moved toward mating engagement with the connector (206) of the computing device (104). So configured, the interface connector (204) can be aligned with the connector (206) of the computing device (104) prior to engagement of the interface connector (204) with the connector (206) of the computing device (104).
