The air deodorizing/disinfecting unit consists of a vaporizer for a liquid product (7) raised by a Venturi effect from a closed container (2) with the aid of an air flow entering at a pressure of about 0/5 - 1 bar and controlled by an automatic regulator acting on a solenoid valve e.g. of 12V AC. The liquid product is designed to neutralize and/or mask odors of ammonia, hydrogen sulfide and volatile odiferous organic molecules produced in livestock buildings. It can contain esters, alcohols and aldehydes, optionally combined with perfuming essential oils and/or disinfectants designed to reduce aerial germs and bacteria, in a solvent base. The vapors, in droplets of about 4 mcm in size, mix with the air under the roof of the building, travelling at 10 - 12 m/s, and are drawn down through 0.3 - 0.4 mm holes in a perforated ceiling by a fan in an extractor duct that creates a flow rate of some 3500 cu m/h while consuming 5 - 8 g of the liquid product per hour.
