PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a split connector capable of reducing fitting operation force. SOLUTION: A male side sub connector 40A is assembled to a male side frame 20 displaceably along the fitting direction. When both of female and male connectors F and M are fitted, an elastic regulating piece 53 is elastically deformed to be locked on a regulation receiving part 31, and thereby the male side sub connector 40A is held at a temporary locking position and is coupled with a mating side before an other male side sub connector 40B. The coupling is finished, the elastic regulating piece 53 is recovered and deformed to be released in the locking on the regulation receiving part 31, and the coupling of the male side sub connector 40B is continuously performed, displacing the male side sub connector 40A to the depth of the fitting direction.
