PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control system for an automatic transmission and a method for the same, capable of improving the driving force and preventing the temperature rise of the transmission oil when much load is applied during the traveling of an automatic transmission vehicle with manual gear change, in a second gear of '2' range of a gear shift lever. SOLUTION: This shift control system of the automatic transmission vehicle with manual range, comprises a stage for judging whether a vehicle traveling condition satisfies a shift pattern changing condition or not in a case when a driver operates an accelerator pedal during the traveling in the second-gear of '2' range, and a stage for shifting to a one speed on the basis of the changed shift pattern in a case when the vehicle traveling condition satisfies the shift pattern changing condition. |
