An aerial arrangement for radio apparatus comprises an aerial element built into the apparatus housing and coupled, for radiofrequency signals, to the power supply leads to the apparatus. The aerial element may consist of a conductive shaft 2 of metal or foil attached or sprayed on to the roof and sides of the housing and radio-frequency coupling between it and the power supply leads effected by securing a loop 7 of the cable against the antenna surface by means of a clamp 9. A conductor 3 couples the aerial to the apparatus input circuit 4. The directional effect of the aerial element is said to be swamped by the mains lead pick-up. |
