PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion which contains a pigment having a small average particle size and is excellent in jetting stability and color tone, and an ink for ink jetting. SOLUTION: The pigment dispersion comprises at least a pigment, a dispersant and water, where at least one of compounds represented by general formula (1) (wherein R is H, a 1-15C straight chain or branched alkyl group, a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group, or a substituted or unsubstituted naphthyl group; m is an integer of at least 1 and at most 100; and M is H, Na or a mixture of H and Na) is employed as the dispersant. There is also provided an ink for ink jetting obtained using the same. |
