PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the constitution for reducing or eliminating the thermal stress induced in a combustor liner and a corresponding part while allowing the unconstrained thermal expansion and contraction of the combustor liner. SOLUTION: The liners (32 and 34) of a combustor (30) are made of ceramic matrix composite(CMC) material which can withstand the temperature higher than a metallic liner. The liner made of CMC material is used together with a corresponding part made of superalloy material. To enable the combustor, which has a liner made of CMC material together with metallic material used for a corresponding cowl (36) and a rear seal (42) fitted with a seal retainer (44), to be used, covering a wide temperature range, the combustor is designed to cope with the different of thermal expansion between them at the interface between dissimilar materials. Such design does not introduce stress into the liners (32 and 34) as the result of thermal expansion, and besides it is so performed as to take the balance of the flow of air for cooling in thermal expansion.
