PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent ignition of oil adhered to a bottom wall between banks. SOLUTION: In this V-type engine 1, a supercharger 5 is disposed between banks 3, 4. A shielding member 14 is disposed between the supercharger 5 and a bottom wall 13 between the banks. The shielding member 14 prevents remaining oil between the banks from scattering due to vibration of a vehicle and the like and thus adhering directly to the supercharger. The shielding member 14 has a concave shape sinking toward the bottom wall 13 between the banks. An oil drain hole 17 provided on the bottom of the shielding member prevents the residual oil from adhering to the upper surface of the shielding member 14. If the shielding member 14 is made of vibration damping steel plate, vibration and noise generation from the shielding member 14 can be prevented.
