VOICE RECOGNITION APPARATUS USING PITCH WAVE CHARACTERISTICS AND METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A voice recognition apparatus using pitch wave characteristics and a method thereof are provided to distract the pitch wave characteristics correctly. CONSTITUTION: A voice recognition apparatus using pitch wave characteristics includes a frame energy calculator(20), a maximum frame energy discriminator(22), an inner frame pitch detector(24) and a pitch wave generator(26). The frame energy calculator(20) calculates the energy of each frame by dividing the input voice into predetermined sample sizes. The maximum frame energy discriminator(22) determines maximum frame energy interval including a maximum energy frame and a previous frame to the maximum energy frame. The inner frame pitch detector(24) distracts samples in one pitch interval by calculating pitches during the maximum energy interval. The pitch wave generator(26) generates the pitch wave by dividing sample of one pitch interval by maximum positive peak value.
