PURPOSE:To make it possible to smoothly turn a vehicle with the use of a vehicle multi-link suspension, by making the length of a front one of lateral links longer that that of a rear one thereof while the hardness of front resilient bushings is higher than rear bushings so that the roll steering degree in turning is made to be greater than a compliance steering degree. CONSTITUTION:The length of a vehicle front lateral link 8 is made longer than that of a rear lateral link 9, and the hardness of resilient bushings belonging to the lateral link 8 is set to be higher than that of resilient bushings 6, 10 belonging to the lateral link 9. In this arrangement, when a lateral force F directed toward the center of a turn of the vehicle is produced in an outside wheel due to the turn of the vehicle so that a rolling occurs, the bushings 7, 11 belonging to the rear link 9 flex by the force F to a degree greater than that of the bushings belonging to the front link 8. Thereby a compliance steering-out occurs so as to cause a wheel 3 to fall in a tow-out condition, resulting in occurrence of yaw motion so as to obtain a sharp rise during the initial period of a turn. Thereby, it is possible to enhance the turning performance. |
