<p>PURPOSE: To provide smooth passing on a passage by making it easy for nearby people to understand the operation state and destination of the moving robot which is used in environment wherein many people are present, for example, on the corridors of a hospital, a department store, a theather, a home for the aged, etc., and autonomously travels, and then enabling the action of the moving robot to easily be forecast. CONSTITUTION: The moving robot, which autonomously travels in environment where many people are present closely and is equipped with displays 10 and 11 for displaying its operation states, has plural display surfaces on the outer peripheral surface of the moving robot; and messages of position information such as 'next destination' and 'current position', operation states such as 'at a stop' and 'in movement', operation prediction and demand items such at 'turning right', 'let me pass', and 'call a staff', and operation modes such as 'in normal operation' and 'stopping in emergency' are displayed on those displays 10 and 11 with characters which are large enough to read not at a short distance.</p> |
