In a suction/mixing device, a primary fluid flowing through a main channel (3) sucks a secondary fluid flowing through a secondary channel (5). The suction/mixing zone (11) has at its mouth a narrow cross-sectional shape and the cross-sectional surface at the mouth lies in the size range of the smallest effective cross-sectional surface in the primary fluid flow system. A laminar flow generating zone is arranged upstream of the mouth, in the direction of flow of the primary fluid, and the secondary channel is formed at the mouth by a plurality of uniformly distributed supply channels (7). High suction power and performance, as well as fine mixing and homogenizing, are thus obtained. Some of the most important domains of application are the domestic services technology, heating, laboratory, engine, cleaning, gardening and aquarium-building technologies.
