PURPOSE:To print a center mark to the outside of a printing region, and to decrease the number of printable characters by installing a center-mark forming section forming the picture signal of the center mark positioned outside the printing region by the output data of a printing-data forming section. CONSTITUTION:When the printing of a center mark is indicated, the picture signal of the center mark is generated by a center-mark forming section 14, and the forming section 14 shapes a picture data printing the center mark to a section corresponding to the non-printing section of printing paper. The output signal of a host computer 10 is transmitted over a printing-data forming section 12 through an I/F 11, and the forming section 12 forms the picture data on the basis of the code signal. The output data of the forming section 14 and the picture data of the forming section 12 are synthesized by a data synthesizing section 15. The positional data of the center mark is read from the ROM of the forming section 14 on the basis of a data displaying the kind of printing paper sent from the computer 10 at that time, and printing is conducted according to the output signal of the synthesizing section 15. |
