PURPOSE:To give the optimum deflection to a leveler roll according to the shape defective of a rolled stock and to straighten in good shape by pressing the leveler roller to the backup roller which is able to move the position in the width direction of a rolled stock and the position in the vertical direction. CONSTITUTION:When frame bodies 12, 12' are moved along a screw shaft 19, the backup roll 7 provided on the frame bodies 12, 12' moves the position in the axial line direction for a leveler roll 1. An axle box 10 is vertically moved by using a wedge like part 11 to adjust the vertical direction position of the backup roll 7 provided on the axle box 10. The position of the backup roll 7 is changed according to the lug elongation 8 caused on a rolled stock 6 by combining the movement in the axial direction of the backup roll 7 and that in the vertical direction. When the leveler roll 1 is pressed to the backup roll 7 by a cylinder, it is deflected with the width directional position of the backup roller 7 as the fulcrum. This deflective fulcrum position is set to the optimum position by changing it to straighten in good shape.
