PURPOSE:To improve the accuracy of indexing a predetermined size in a predetermined size indexing device without using a high grade control means by setting the predetermined size by the unit size of 5mm. CONSTITUTION:An indexing device comprises stopper 21a...21d, an indexing setting plate 30 and a position indexing means p for indexing the position of abutting surfaces 31a...31t. The indexing setting plat4 30 is provided with the abutting surfaces 31a...31t starting from a reference surface 31, each surface having the step of 5mm, and is provided with kickers 32a...32e and limit switches 33a...33e. Gray code is used for the position indexing means p. When the position indexing of the abutting surface 31e is performed, considering the distance (step) delta of 25mm from the surfaces 31 to 31e, a predetermined value is set as 25, the present position and the set value is coincided with each other with putting on only switches 33a, 33b, 33e so that the surface 31e is stopped on the line R. |
