PURPOSE:To secure the safety of a driver at the time of collision, by allowing spoke sections to be deformed within a range of the shadow of a steering center cover. CONSTITUTION:When the load of a driver due to collision is exerted to the steering wheel, since the load will be concentrated on stress concentration parts 13 of the spoke sections 2, the spoke sections 2 will be bent at the stress concentration parts 13. Then outer materials 4 adjacent to the bent parts will be broken and sharp edges thereof will happened to be made, but since the sharp edges will be situated near the steering center cover 8, the driver can be out of contact with said sharp edges. |
