PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of more readily realizing color editing that matches the intention of a user. SOLUTION: In color editing processing for converting an editing color into another color, it is discriminated whether adjustment instructed from a user for a component of the editing color exceeds an adjustable range determined in accordance with a value of the component of the editing color. When adjustment that exceeds the adjustable range is instructed, values of the other components of the editing color are cooperatively adjusted so that the adjustment instructed from the user is included within the adjustable range.
