PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent color mixing in developing means as a result of residual toner on an image carrier, in assumption of the color image forming device by so called cleaner less system. SOLUTION: In this device, plural developing means 3 is respectively provide with black developing means 3d incorporating the black developer provided with the black toner and allowed to perform the developing operation at the final image forming cycle (4), and color developing means 3a to 3c performing the developing operation in the image forming cycles (1) to (3) excepting the last image forming cycle containing color toner other than the black color, and moreover the black developing means 3d is provided with the residual toner recover developing condition for recovering the residual toner on an image carrier 1 at the time of developing operation, while, among color developing means 3a to 3c at least, color developing means 3b and 3c operated by on and after the second cycle, are provided with no residual toner recovering condition by which no residual toner is recovered at the developing operation time. |
