PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel material for carburizing excellent in low cycle fatigue strength and grain-coarsening resistance, and a carburized component.SOLUTION: A steel material for carburizing includes, by mass, 0.15-0.25% C, over 0% to 0.15% or less Si, 1.5-2.0% Mn, over 0% to 0.03% or less P, over 0% to 0.02% or less S, 0.9-1.2% Cr, over 0.06% to 0.10% or less Al, 0.05-0.10% Ti, 0.004-0.015% Nb, 0.001-0.005% B, 0.002-0.008% N, and the balance iron with inevitable impurities.
