The problem addressed by the present invention is: to provide a compound that has superior solubility in a solvent, easily provides a membrane having high mobility even without undergoing a complex process, and is represented by general formula (1), and an organic semiconductor material using same; and furthermore to provide an organic semiconductor ink that can easily prepare an organic transistor having a practical configuration. The compound, which comprises a mesogenic skeleton having a specific substituent group, has suitability as an organic semiconductor ink due to having superior solvent solubility, does not require complicated thermal processing, and solves the abovementioned problem even by means of a simple wet process.
