PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a development apparatus in which leakage of a developer is suppressed.SOLUTION: A development cartridge includes: a housing 100; a developing roller 110; a layer thickness regulating blade 130 brought into contact with the developing roller 110; an upper seal member 150 arranged between the housing 100 and the layer thickness regulating blade 130; and a side seal member 140 arranged between the housing 100 and the developing roller 110. The side seal member 140 includes a slide contact member 141 and a base material 142, the base material 142 includes a projection part 142A projected to the upper seal member 150 side more than the slide contact member 141 in a rotation direction of the developing roller 110, and respective end portions of the slide contact member 141 and the base material 142 in the rotation direction of the developing roller 110 are brought into contact with the upper seal member 150. |
