METHOD OF PACKET TRANSMISSION IN WIRELESS SENSOR NETWORKS

The present invention relates to a method for transmitting a packet of a wireless sensor network including a source node to transmit the packet, a destination node to receive the packet, and a plurality of intermediate nodes which are located between the source node and the destination node, which includes the steps of: enabling the source node to calculate a horizontal distance between the source node and each intermediate node; enabling the source node to select the intermediate node which has the shortest vertical distance from the source node among the intermediate nodes; and enabling the source node to transmit the packet by selecting the intermediate node with the shortest vertical distance.
