A barrel 1 for a compressed air or gas actuated weapon has a bore 3 and is provided towards its rear end with a transverse bore 4 intended to house the upper end of a magazine, an extension 6 of the bore beyond the transverse bore 4 being formed with a fixed means for reducing the cross-section of the extension 6 to prevent missiles passing through the rear part of the barrel. The reducing means may comprise a pin 11 extending across the extension, a plate extending into the bore extension (Figs. 3, 4, not shown), or indentations on both sides of the barrel and extending into the extension (Fig. 5, not shown).
