The IR radiation-reflective base for burners is intended to make harnessing heat from the flame more efficient, re-directing the IR radiation that is not used towards the cooking utensils on a domestic stove burner. An IR reflective surface (4) can be incorporated into the base of the cooker or raised above same so as to be closer to the flame. In the latter case, the surface can be: supported by three or more elevating feet (7), joined directly to the bars (3) that support the cooking utensils, or joined directly to the burner (2). Cavities (9) are formed between the above-mentioned feet (7) and air can enter through said cavities for gas combustion. In addition, a heat-insulating material can be added to the other face of the reflective surface (4).
|
