PURPOSE: An elevating apparatus is provided to operate an object with small power using a gas spring and an extension spring at the same time. CONSTITUTION: An elevating apparatus comprises a shelf(SH), a rotating member(AX), a spring, and an extension spring. The shelf is equipped to be ascended and descended along a slide rail(SR) formed in a wall side plate member(PB). The rotating member comprises a roller which is driven while supporting the lower end surface of the shelf in the other end part. The gas spring is adjacently connected to a support point of the rotating member. The gas spring offers fixed swing torque to the rotating member. The extension spring is connected to the rotating member.
