PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking vessel which enables the adjustment of the inner pressure depending on the weight of the cooked materials. SOLUTION: The cooking vessel 10 is provided with an outer vessel 12 with an opened top part, the body 14 of the vessel with an opened top part which can be arranged inside the outer vessel and having through-holes 54, and a lid 16 which can be mounted on the body 14 of the vessel. When the body 14 of the vessel is placed on the outer vessel 12, a space 60 sealed at the normal temperature is formed between the body 14 of the vessel and the outer vessel 12 communicating with the inside of the body 14 of the vessel with the through holes 54. The lid 16 and the vessel body 14 rises together from the outer vessel 12 with the rise of the pressure within the space 60 generated in the cooking and is returned to the original position with the release of the pressure. Thus, the pressure of the vessel body 14 can be adjusted under the own weight of the cooked materials 38. In other words, the heavy cooked materials 38 can be cooked at a high pressure. This also keeps the steam from being released outside unless the pressure exceed the specified pressure, thereby maintaining the condition of a higher humidity. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI
