The invention relates to a diagnostic kit, a method and a microarray for determining predisposition towards osteoporosis. To this end, the allelic variability of the vitamin D3 receptor (VDR) is indicated by amplifying appropriate sections of the VDR gene, the variability thereof is then indicated, for example by means of digestion by restriction enzymes, and the DNA fragments produced are then analysed.
