PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify a process for ion-exchanging by an ion-exchange aqueous solution in a process for manufacturing an artificial zeolite, and to reduce a facility cost and a running cost and to shorten a treating time, while enabling to carry out the sufficiently satisfactory ion-exchange. SOLUTION: For the ion-exchange method to manufacture the artificial zeolite in which a raw material ash and a slurry of an alkali aqueous solution are subjected to heating treatment and ion-exchange and the artificial zeolite is manufactured, in a dewatering process from the slurry with a centrifugal separator, when the slurry attains to a predetermined water content, the ion- exchange aqueous solution is injected into a cake of the slurry in the centrifugal separator, the centrifugal separator is operated and ion-exchange is carried out.
