PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydride secondary battery by which a utilization factor of a paste type nickel positive electrode is improved and which is excellent in a cycle characteristic. SOLUTION: In a hydride secondary battery having a positive electrode using a nickel hydroxide as an active material, a negative electrode composed of hydrogen storage alloy, electrolyte composed of an alkaline aqueous solution and a separator, the nickel hydroxide is powder whose particle size is 2 to 40μm and average particle diameter is 8±2μm, and in this powder, particles having a diameter not less than an average particle diameter have a spherical shape, and 95wt.% and more of particles with a diameter not more than an average particle diameter are also formed in a spherical shape. |
