PURPOSE: To prevent the transmission of noise and vibration to a housing while attenuating the gear noise by the interference fit of plural energy absorbing pads having the predetermined radial directional spring constant in a bearing outside lace with a space in the circumferential direction. CONSTITUTION: A bearing isolator 30 has a periphery 32 to be engaged with an inner surface of a hole 34 of a gear easing 36 so as to be supported, and has a flange 38 extended outside in the radial direction from the periphery 32, and an axial surface 40 of the flange 38 matches with the outer surface of the gear easing 36. Plural energy absorbing pads 42 are arranged along the inner periphery of the isolator 30 with a space in the circumferential direction so as to be extended in the radial direction. The pad 42 has a diameter to be fitted in the periphery of the bearing outside lace 20 for interference fit. The bearing isolator 30 is provided with plural stopper pads 44 extended inward in the radial direction from the circumference of an isolating beam 30 with a space in the circumferential direction so as to limit the radial directional movement of a shaft when the shaft compresses a desirable pad 42. |
