<p>PURPOSE:To reduce an entire bit rate by providing a rearrangement device arranging a line sequential color difference signal C1 to an upper half of a picture and a line sequential color difference signal C2 to a lower half to a device applying time multiplexing device to a luminance signal Y and the two signals in one line so as to give strong correlation to adjacent picture elements. CONSTITUTION:A Y signal 1, a C1 signal 2 and a C2 signal 3 converted from R, G, B signals are digitized by A/D converters 4, 5, 6 respectively to apply time multiplex. A C signal uses transversal filters 8, 9 to apply vertical band limit to apply reflection distortion by a repetitive spectrum attended with line sequential sampling. A rearrangement section 15 applies line sequential processing to an even number line of the C1 signal and an odd number line of the C2 signal respectively. The line sequential processing color signal C is generated from the color difference signals C1, C2 at a C1/C2 synthesis section 10. Figure shows that the C signal rearrangement sections 15, 16 rearrange the color signal so as to arrange the signal C1 to the upper half of the picture and the signal C2 to the lower half of the picture.</p> |
