PURPOSE:To make a device thin by providing a plane plate-shaped original platen and a plane plate-shaped photosensitive body on and under the device body respectively in parallel with each other and storing a device having each process function between them and moving the original platen and the photosensitive body horizontally. CONSTITUTION:A plane plate-shaped original platen 2 and a plane plate-shaped photosensitive body 3 are provided on and under a device body 1 respectively in parallel with each other, and they are moved in directions of arrows A and B horizontally simultaneously or independently. A destaticizer 4, an exposure lamp 5, a fiber lens 6, a developing machine 7, a transfer roll 8, a fixing a roll 9, etc. having individual process functions of a normal electrophotographic copying machine are arranged between them. When the device is started, the original platen 2 and the photosensitive body 3 are moved in the direction of the arrow A from positions shown in the figure; and when a point beta reaches the destaticizer 4, they are inverted and are subjected to actions of individual process function elements while moving in the direction of the arrow B. The original platen 2 is moved up to the position shown in the figure and the photosensitive body 3 is moved until a point alpha reaches the transfer roll 8, and a series of copying operations are terminated. Thus, the device is made thin easily, and the insertability of originals is improved. |
