In this valve, a valve seat disc is held in a sealed manner and a fixed position parallel to the centre line in a housing which preferably corresponds to the dimensions of a standard valve top part with a closing element that can be lifted axially from the valve seat. Mounted on the upstream side of the valve seat disc is a valve regulating disc used to cover an opening in the valve seat disc. For fine adjustment of the valve regulating disc, an adjusting element mounted in a rotationally fixed manner and displaceable axially with the valve spindle is arranged in the housing and connected to the valve regulating disc. The valve seat disc and the valve regulating disc are expediently arranged on a partition wall in a capsule which can be inserted into the housing, the adjusting element being connected by means of an angular stud extending from the upstream region through the opening in the valve seat disc to the valve regulating disc and the capsule being connectable in a leaktight manner in a fitting to an inlet line by means of a screw-thread on the housing.
