Element is pref. cut from a blank using an oscillating Teflon wire while a soln. of K3Fe (CN)6 and KOH in distilled water (1:1:5) flows over the blank. B-Ni alloy contacts are used these being produced by resistance heating of Ni wire in vacuum.
