摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high strength Al alloy having a tensile strength of≥800 MPa and provided with an elongation suitable as that of a material for machine structural use, and to provide its production method. SOLUTION: The high strength Al alloy has a composition comprising, by mass, 25 to 35% Cu, or further comprising one or more kinds of elements selected from≤3.0% Mg,≤3.0% Zn,≤0.20% Ti and≤0.20% Zr, and the balance Al with inevitable impurities, an has a laminated structure where Al layers and AlCu intermetallic compound layers are alternately laminated.
