<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf ball superior in a carry and flying uniformity. <P>SOLUTION: This golf ball is formed by arranging a plurality of dimples on a surface, and 7% or more of the total number of dimples are composed of a noncircular dimple in plan view, which is formed of a combination of a circular arc-shaped curve and a curve or a straight line except for the circular arc-shaped curve, and the residue is a dimple having a diameter of 2 to 5 mm and the depth of 0.07 to 0.40 mm in a circular shape in a plan view. A large circle line of not crossing with the dimple does not exist by even one piece. At least one of the noncircular dimple crosses with the equator of a ball substantially coincident with a divided surface position of a divided metal mold for molding the ball. The noncircular dimple crossing with this equator is arranged on the ball surface so that a part formed of the circular arc-shaped curve of this noncircular dimple from above one hemispherical surface, protrudes to the other hemispherical side in a range of 0.1 to 2.0 mm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
